Area legislators to appear at the Brown County Congress of Elected and Appointed Officials, January 18
Network Brown County serves as an opportunity for community members
to network while developing leadership skills and gathering knowledge
of the trends, challenges and issues that face our communities
and Brown County. Participants will tour industries, city facilities,
unique businesses, local farms, historic sites, county parks,
and much more. Leadership seminars and exercises will teach skills
in communication, managing conflict, group interaction, cultivating
civic leadership, building consensus, and how to work together
in teams more effectively. Participants will have the opportunity
to practice the skills learned while planning and carrying out
the next year’s program.

"More harmony . . . a more cohesive message to state legislators from
school, city, and county governments . . . more links across these local
government units . . . and more networking among leaders of communities on
opposite sides of the county."
These are some of the benefits Brown County leaders cite from participating
in the events sponsored by the Bridging Brown County organization.
