Outcomes

Measuring the outcomes of a networking and leadership program is like trying to catch a glass jar of laughter. You know it’s there! But exactly what is it and when do you see it?

The University of Minnesota Extension Service did conduct a study of leadership program participants. They found an increase in the amount of civic and community leadership activities in participants after participating in these programs.

Network Brown County Leadership Program

Network Brown County Leadership Program serves as an opportunity for individual community members to develop leadership skills and gather knowledge of the trends, challenges and issues that face our communities and Brown County. This 9 month, 10 session program leads participants through leadership training while building friendships and visiting the county’s entertainment, industry and government highlights.

2009-2010 Application Information

  • A class limited to 24 people will be selected to participate in Network Brown County.
  • The cost of the program is $250, which covers all materials, meals, refreshments and social events.
  • Tuition support may be offered by selected employers as professional development. Please inquire with your employer. Additional scholarships are also available to qualifying participants.
  • Participants should live or work in Brown County and agree to attend all sessions.
  • Acceptance is based on
    • Demonstrated interest in the Brown County Area
    • Desire to better understand and improve leadership skills
    • Interest in future community involvement
    • The ability to commit the time needed to attend program sessions
    • Representation from all diverse segments of the county
